Hakutsuru Hakutsurunishiki Junmai Daiginjo 720ml
Rice is one of the cornerstones for saké production, and with that in mind Hakutsuru spent years developing a perfect daiginjo rice. Bred from 2 premier strains (Yamada-ho and Watari-bune), it is considered to be the “brother” grain to Japan’s #1 strain: Yamada-nishiki. Though it descends from a mighty lineage, this new rice strain has had humble beginnings as it was first planted and grown atop the roofs of Hakutsuru’s Hyogo offices and other unusual locations during its trial stages. Defined by its rich floral and anise notes which give way to a full-bodied mouthfeel tempered by a sweet mochi finish. We hope you enjoy every sip of this special brew!
